Gabriel Gutiérrez

Gabriel joined the firm in 2016. He has experience in domestic and international taxation, advising family businesses and general real estate and corporate law. He is also actively involved in the management of an industrial warehousing company.

Before joining GHP, Gabriel was part of the International Tax Services (ITS) team of a “Big Four” firm (2012-2013, 2014-2015). He was based in San Jose, where he served clients with operations throughout Central America and the Dominican Republic, and in New York, where his work focused on aspects of US international taxation for global clients.

He obtained his Licentiate degree (JD equivalent) with a concentration in Tax Law from the University of Costa Rica (2011), a Masters in International Taxation (LL.M.) from NYU’s School of Law (2014), an Advanced Professional Certificate in Law and Business form NYU’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business (2014) and an Executive Masters in business Administration (EMBA), with high honors, from INCAE Business School (2020). He also holds a specialization in Notarial and Registral Law from the Universidad Latina’s Center for Graduate Studies (2013).
