Tobías Murillo

Tobías joined the firm in 2005 and since then he has specialized in corporate advice to clients in various areas. His practice has focused mainly on real estate law, industrial property, commercial/financial law and the various contractual structures that link the start-up of companies and their businesses, areas in which he has obtained extensive experience; especially for hotels, foreign investment and primary industry. In recent years, he has actively participated as a managing member of forestry companies focused on mitigating climate change and regulated financial entities.

He obtained his Licentiate degree (JD equivalent) from the University of Costa Rica (2011) with an honorary distinction for his graduation thesis, which explored corporate structuring through alternative financing systems in Costa Rica. He also obtained a diploma in Business Administration from the INCAE Business School (2011) and a specialization in Notarial Law from the La Salle University, where he was that year’s valedictorian (2012).
